About Clare
    Clare Leeder grew up in Norfolk as part of a large family. She studied Fine-art at Norwich School of Art from 1967 to 1968. Producing amongst other things, detailed etchings and drawings of botanical studies. She then turned her attention to oil painting and began to exhibit her first work. During the 1970s she exhibited as a guest for the 'Norwich 20 Group' and as a member of a group calling themselves the 'New Norwich School'. After recieving numerous commissions for oil paintings and private sales of her work she went on to produce her first solo exhibitions. During the early 1980s she held solo exhibitions at 'Gallery 49' and 'The Premises' (Now Norwich Arts Center). She continued to exhibit and sell work through the 'Red Dot Gallery' in London. And in more recent times she has held local exhibitions in north Norfolk and sold work through the 'Home Gallery' in Norwich. Her work has been sold to buyers from around the world including the U.S.A. France and Japan. As well as oil paint she has worked in a variety of mediums, including inks, pastels and charcoal. clare
